A structured process.
A clear result.
Understanding how we produce a benchmarking report helps you know what to expect — and what the signals in the report actually mean.
What each signal means
Each line item in your construction budget receives one of three signals based on how it compares to our market reference data for the same category, typology, and zone.
Important: These signals are based on market data comparisons only. A red signal does not mean a budget is fraudulent or should be rejected. It means the cost is materially above what current market data would suggest for that category — and that a detailed explanation from the builder is warranted.
| Category | Budget | Market Ref. | Signal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foundations | $USD/m² | Within range | Green |
| Structure | $USD/m² | Within range | Green |
| Masonry & Walls | $USD/m² | Within range | Green |
| Roofing System | $USD/m² | Slightly above | Yellow |
| Plumbing | $USD/m² | Within range | Green |
| Electrical | $USD/m² | Above range | Yellow |
| Interior Finishes | $USD/m² | Significant gap | Red |
| Exterior Works | $USD/m² | Within range | Green |

How we produce your report
You submit the budget
Send us the construction budget or quote you received — as a PDF, spreadsheet, or any other format. We handle the structuring. You don't need to reformat anything.
We identify the parameters
Our team identifies the construction typology (residential building, single-family, etc.), the geographic zone, and the finish specification level. These parameters determine which reference dataset we apply.
Line-by-line comparison
Each cost category in your budget is mapped to our reference data and compared. We calculate the variance and assign a signal. Items that don't map cleanly are flagged with a note rather than forced into a category.
Report delivery
You receive the completed benchmarking report — a structured document with the comparison table, signals, market reference ranges, and notes on flagged items. Designed to be shared within your group.
Where our reference data comes from
Understanding our data sources helps you understand the basis of every signal in your report.
Market Cost Collection
We collect cost-per-m² data from market sources across Argentina — not from construction companies submitting their own pricing. This keeps our reference data independent from any commercial interest.
Geographic Segmentation
Our data is segmented by province and urban zone. Construction costs vary significantly across Argentina's regions, and our comparisons use data relevant to your project's actual location.
Typology Segmentation
We maintain separate reference datasets for different construction typologies — multi-family residential, single-family, mixed-use — because cost structures differ meaningfully between them.
Finish Level Segmentation
Finish costs are tracked separately for basic, mid-range, and premium specifications. A comparison for a premium-finish project uses different reference points than one for a standard-finish build.
Regular Updates
Given Argentina's economic context, construction costs can shift materially over relatively short periods. We maintain our database with regular updates to keep comparisons grounded in current market conditions.
Transparent in Every Report
Each report states the data period and segmentation criteria used. You can see exactly what reference data underpins each signal — there are no black-box conclusions.
